Went to the Zoo today!

It was so nice to get out of the house and take the kids somewhere fun. The heat was UNBEARABLE though. Seriously, it was something like 108. Also had a few snags along the way (like forgetting my DEBIT CARD!) but we got there, enjoyed ourselves as much as we could and came back home to bask in the air conditioning.

The giraffe enclosure was GREAT. The kids could get REALLY close to them. Evelyn kept saying, "WOW!" in the most adorable voice. Won't be long now before she's talking.




Emma ran out of the tiger cave where they had the looking glass, screaming, "It's gonna eat me! It's gonna eat me!" LOL It was hilarious.




The kids had fun looking at all the animals and reading about them and just walking about. We had a lunch of hot dogs, chips and fruit punch. Also, I made it back home as a puddle in a bucket. I MELTED with the heat. It was crazy...



Tomorrow my sister-in-law leaves back to Texas. DH returns in about two weeks, so it won't be long now before we are able to meet up again. :)
